Dan Dascălu coordinates the litigation and employment teams of D&B David şi Baias. Dan graduated in Law from the University of Bucharest. Dan was subsequently trained in The Netherlands (The Hague) and he also holds a Phd. in law (Law School, University of Bucharest). He has been a member of the Bucharest Bar since 1997.
Dan Dascălu has been ranked in Band I under the Tax Section for lawyers of both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 international directories, as well as a top lawyer in the Dispute Resolution and Employment Law Sections of such directories.
His expertise in the fields of tax, administrative and employment practice is extensive. His practice in the litigation field includes assistance given to clients before administrative bodies (assistance in tax inspections and administrative-jurisprudential procedures, making prior administrative appeals and complaints, etc.), as well as representing clients before courts (including the Court of Justice of European Union -12 cases) and arbitration courts in areas of tax law, competition law, commercial law, labor law and civil law.
Dan acted as associate Professor at Law Faculties of both the Bucharest and the Timisoara University and at the Academy of Economic Studies, teaching Tax Procedure and Tax Litigation matters. He has also published various books (including a Handbook on Tax Litigation Matters and another on the New Tax Procedure Code) and articles in tax and procedure topics and on employment law.
